Your Questions About Carpal Solution

admin answers:
I would personally suggest getting a physician approved Carpal splint. A carpal solution essentially works the same way as a wrist splint, pulling at and relieving pressure at the wrist and first webspace. Though it is supposed to be hypoallergenic and not as stiff as an immobilizing brace or splint, the principle remains the same of not wearing it for too lengthy a time, as this might promote muscle atrophy and development of contractures. I think a physican-apporved wrist splint might be more suitable for you.
In addition there are various other treatment modalities that perhaps you might want to try out. These include:
1) physiotherapy
2) subcutaneous steroid injections
3) Dietary changes and modifications
4) using ergonomic hand instruments eg changing keyboards etc.
Hope this helps.

anybody know of lugols solution and vit b6 to treat carpal Tunnel Syndrome?

admin answers:
Vitamin B Complex twice a day helped me with Carpal tunnel, I take 1 tablet twice a day and I wear wrist braces at night when the pain go up to the shoulder if I dont. When the pian does appear during the day I put an ice pack under my wrist. Most people can cure themselves yopu do not have to have surgery to repair it. As far as Lugols solution in Gerson Therapy – The practitioners of Gerson therapy allege that the treatment is effective for a wide variety of ailments because it restores the body’s ability to heal itself. Practitioners do not claim that this therapy will cure everything or everyone. A number of components are considered important to this therapy. These components include: juicing (as many as 13 glasses of fresh, organic vegetable/fruit juice are recommended per day), diet (three full vegetarian meals from organic sources), detoxification of tissues and blood (accomplished foremost via coffee enemas), and medications (e.g., Lugol’s solution, vitamin B-12, injectable crude liver extract, pancreatic enzymes, enemas of coffee and/or chamomile). Certain complementary therapies may also be recommended, such as: polarizing treatment (GKI), ozone therapy by rectal insufflation, hydrotherapy, and acupuncture.

James asks…
33 weeks pregnant carpal Tunnel Syndrome causing major grief at night, any solutions to a sleepless night?
I wake up with numb hands which are painful. I cant get the blood back into them unless I dangle them over the side of the bed or sit up. It hurts when the blood gets back into them and it hurts when they go numb again. I tried a wrist support to no avail. Any ideas? Thanks.

admin answers:
Try a different style of Wrist Brace. I use the type that has the metal support strip in it. It’s a bit uncomfortable at first, but after a couple weeks you get used to it. Be sure to get the style that has velcro so you can adjust how loose or tight it is. You said you tried the wrist support, but how long did you try it for? If it was only a night or two, you won’t likely get any relief that soon. When I started wearing wrist braces at night, it took 2-3 weeks of using them before I really could say I noticed a significant difference. I also put another pillow on either side of the pillow I put my head on. The pillow I put my head on was placed horizontal as usual, but the 2 on either side I placed vertically. Than, when I slept, I would put my hands on the horizontal pillow to help elevate them. Between the braces and the extra pillows, it helped alleviate some of the numbness. It didn’t completely stop, but it helped. It is not unusual to develop carpal Tunnel Syndrome when pregnant and continue to have problems afterwards. It has to do with the additional fluid your body has while pregnant.

Betty asks…
What non-surgical solutions are there for Carpal Tunnel?

admin answers:
Massage, stretching, ultrasound with or without corticosteroids. Surgery should be the last option, once you cut into your body you can’t take it back.

Carol asks…
I was diagnosed with carpal syndrome tunnel.?
As much as possible I don’t want surgery. Is there any other solution for carpal syndrome tunnel?

admin answers:
First, its Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. There are some solutions that will probably be tried first, you can get cortisone shots in your wrists, you can wear wrist braces to keep your wrists in a neutral position so that they aren’t constantly getting irritated.
