I have really painful hands at the moment,numbness and tingling and swelling etc?
and I have been waiting for a diagnosis. I think it is Carpal tunnel syndrome. The pain is crippling me and I wondered if anyone had any ideas on how I can curb the pain I am in? It is worse at night time. It feels as if someone is stabbing my hands with a knife.

I have to say that you’re not going to get a diagnosis here, it could be anything from CTS to damage at C5. It seems likely that you are suffering some form of nerve pain and if that is the case then only an opiate (something like codeine) will alleviate the pain.

I have pain on my palm near my thumb and it gets swollen & starts hurting when i grip any1 know what this is?
this happens ocassionally say when i write a lot, text message, grip, use the doorknob and so on im thinking it could be carpal tunnel syndrome but im not too sure
no i dont have any injuries this started when i was about 16 but i never thought anything of it and the pain has been going up my forearm lately

Carpel tunnel comes with age and a repeated action, not many different. Also carpel tunnel usually does not swell. Without know age and sex I would be afraid to guess. It would be better if you let your doctor look at you and ask some of the needed questions( when did it start?, how long does it last?, have you had any injuries?).pp

Right hand palm and thumb pain?
I have been experiencing pain in my right thumb and palm for the last several months. The palm is swollen and very sore and I can barely bend my thumb. The pain extends into the wrist area. I have seen several specialists and had numerous tests performed but still have no answers to what is causing this. I had a nerve conduction test for carpal tunnel which came up negative. I saw an orthopedist who did took x-rays of the hand which where negative. I saw a neurologist who ordered an mri on the thumb and spinal cord which did not show anything. I have also seen a vascular doctor and had an ultrasound done which turned up nothing. After that a saw a chiropractor several times who was unable to help. I don’t even know where to go from here. Is there another type of specialist someone could recommend that could possibly diagnose this?
The pain has not gone away and it is very difficult to use my right hand.

I would recommend a consultation with an arthritis specialist called a rheumatologist for an additional opinion. The reason why I am recommending this is because this could be symptoms of an arthritic condition of a different kind (an example only). Sometimes these doctors can also find the cause of a problem that other doctors are not able to find.

HELP PLEASE I’M CONFUSED ABOUT CERTAIN PAIN…?
I have been having alot of body pain… it sucks! I had been told I had a mild case of carpal tunnel… that was a few years back.. I changed jobs so it got better for a little bit, then it started again. The pain in the arms, hands I can hardley hold a pen, let alone sign my name. My hands feel swollen although sometimes they dont appear that way, I also get painfull lumps all over not just in my arms… its on my back, side of torso, thighs, legs…literally all over and they hurt. When I massage them, they feel like bruises and the following day or in a few hrs will appear a bruise… please help I am not overweight, and otherwise in good health. Im scared cause my mother and grandmother, aunties and other family members have a laundry list of medical conditions…PLEASE HELP!!!
